Each copy of Risk & Reward began life not on a printing press, but on an artist’s table — mine.
Before the first page was bound, each cover was turned into its own miniature artwork, layered with gesso, texture, stain, and paint. The process is slow, deliberate, and deeply personal. Chaos comes first — an uneven surface, cracks and scars — and then grace follows in colour, line, and form.
No two are alike.
Every book carries its own journey of creation, like the animals and stories within it. When you hold one in your hands, you are not holding a product — you are holding the original skin of an artwork, shaped by touch and prayer.
Each cover was completed in the same spirit I use when painting my wildlife pieces: with reverence for the material and the unseen beauty it can reveal. The numbering and signature are not decoration — they are testimony.
